Joint-Stock Company "Marka" announces an open contest for professional artists on creation of postage stamps.
The purpose of the given contest – to broaden the range of creative decisions, increase the artistic level of the governmental signs of postal payment.
The estimation of the received designs, the choosing of the finalists and the winner will carry out the
Art Council, which consists of artists with a wide experience of working with the postal miniature and the recognized masters of painting and graphic art, authoritative members of the art community of the Russian Federation.
The contest will be held in two stages – at first, the finalists will be chosen from all of the received
application forms and designs, and then – the winner will be chosen from the finalists.
Layouts will be estimated by the following criteria:
- Conformity to the declared form of issue;
- Conformity to the declared subject/theme;
- High artistic level of performance;
- Originality of the idea
The authors who have sent the appropriate application forms and designs become the participants of the contest.

office@marka-art.ru, with the remark “Contest, stamps”.
Deadline for sending the designs – not later than 7 months before the official date of issue of the stamp.
The official announcement of the beginning of the contest on each particular theme will be posted on the website of JSC "Marka" on the webpage “Contest”. The announcement will indicate the technical tasks for the theme of issue.
