The staff of JSC Marka expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Aleksei Aleksandrovich Fedulov



On May 4 of 2025, Aleksei Aleksandrovich Fedulov, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, a Professor of the Drawing and Painting Department of the Favorsky Institute of Graphics and Book Art, a member of the Creative Review Committee of JSC Marka, passed away.

Aleksei Fedulov was a versatile artist. He did not limit himself to only one genre or type of art. For a long time he was engaged in monumental art, working in different techniques: painting, sgraffito, stained glass, ceramic relief, wood carving. A separate page of the artist's biography is postage stamps. One of the stamps created by him, dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of the St Andrew's colors, won the Grand Prix at the international competition in Riga (2000). His other works are 50th Anniversary of Russian Research in Antarctica (2006); International Polar Year 2007-2008 (2007); 300th Birth Anniversary of scientist M.V. Lomonosov (2011); 200th Anniversary of Russia's Victory in the Patriotic War of 1812 (2012); 450th Anniversary of Book Printing in Russia (2014); 175th Birth Anniversary of Composer P.I. Tchaikovsky (2015); Courtyard in Kolomna (1994) in the framework of the Contemporary Art of Russia (2022) series.

Aleksei Fedulov was a participant of republican, regional, urban and international exhibitions. He took an active part in exhibitions of painting and postal miniatures within the Art of a Stamp Project of JSC Marka; presently, his works are on display at the exhibition in Kaluga.

The team of JSC Marka would like to convey the deepest condolences to the family, close relatives and friends of Aleksei Fedulov. The best and bright recollections will always remain in the memory of Russian and foreign painters and philatelists.
