On April 4, the Art of a Stamp exhibition opened in Kaluga

The Art of a Stamp exhibition of paintings and postal miniatures is under way in the Kaluga Regional Museum of Fine Arts. This unique joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Union of Artists and Joint-Stock Company Marka, which is a combined exposition of paintings, graphics and postage stamps is presented in Kaluga for the second time.

The exhibition offers a possibility to see paintings by members of art associations, whose works were featured on postal miniatures, among them: People's Artists of the Russian Federation N. Borovskoi, V. Glukhov, E. Romashko, A. Lyubavin and G. Leman as well as Honored Artists of the Russian Federation N. Plastov, A. Dubov, A. Fedulov, N. Zheltushko, and a fine art restorer of the Grekov Studio of Military Artists I. Krivshinko.

The exposition also presents artistic works by an Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts N. Gorsky-Chernyshev, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation P. Groshev, and others. Besides, a part of the exhibition space is occupied by paintings by the leading artists of JSC Marka, members of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts A.V. Adibekov, S.A. Ulyanovsky, O.N. Savina and others.

The philatelic section of the exposition is represented by postal miniatures dedicated to historical events, outstanding creative personalities, natural, cultural and literary heritage, flora and architectural monuments of Russia, regions and anniversaries of Russian cities, as well as Russian cosmonautics the decorative and applied arts of our country.

The Art of a Stamp exhibition was successfully held in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Russian Historical Society, the Russian Geographical Society, the A. Aleksandrov House of Scientists, the Alexandrovskaya Sloboda Museum-Reserve, the Arkhangelskoe Estate Museum, the Pereslavl Museum-Reserve, the Museum of the Yaroslavl City History and other exhibition venues in Vladimir, Kazan, Kolomna, Petrozavodsk, Rybinsk, Ryazan, Samara, Tver, etc.

The exhibition will run until May 11, 2025.
