Soyuzmultfilm is an animated film studio. It was founded in Moscow on June 10 of 1936. Over the course of its history, the studio has produced more than 1,500 animated films in a wide variety of genres and artistic styles; many of the films have become part of the “golden fund” of world animation classics and have received more than 400 prizes and awards at international festivals.
The animated series Umka (2022–2025) is a continuation of the classic story, in which the now-grown boy named Taike tells children the legends of the Arctic. Umka, his mother the bear, and his friends - the she-wolf Ilma, the seal Kora, and the seagull Pychik - explore the North, learn to be friends, and protect nature.
