Soyuzmultfilm is an animated film studio. It was founded in Moscow on June 10 of 1936. Over the course of its history, the studio has produced more than 1,500 animated films in a wide variety of genres and artistic styles; many of the films have become part of the “golden fund” of world animation classics and have received more than 400 prizes and awards at international festivals.
The animated series Prostokvashino has been in production since 2018 and it is a sequel to the classic series of animated films based on the works by writer Eduard Uspensky. The story follows the hilarious adventures of the very serious and self-sufficient boy Uncle Fyodor, his younger sister Vera Pavlovna - who is never apart from her quirky little animal Tama-Tama - and their furry friends: the housewifely cat Matroskin and the simple-minded dog Sharik.
