Joint issue of postage stamps of the Russian Federation and Republic of Cuba is devoted to the 50th anniversary of Cuban revolution Victory. On January, 1st, 1959 Cuba found independence of military and police dictatorship of Fulhensio Batista and opened new page of Cuban history.
Stamp represents portrait of commander Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (Che Guevara) and the Republic of Cuba national flag. Che Guevara's portrait is a reproduction of photo of Cuban Alberto Corda «the Valorous Guerrilla».
