Stamps represent Dmitrovskiy cathedral in Vladimir and Saint George’s church in Romanian monastery Voronets. The Dmitrovsky cathedral in Vladimir which is the monument of Russian architecture of the Vladimiro-Suzdal school was constructed in 1194-97 and originally entered into a complex of a princely palace. Solemn and stately 4-column one-head temple is notable for strict proportions and an abundance of front relief ornaments. It is included in the list of the World heritage. The monastery Voronets settles down on suburb of Gura-Humoruluj in district Suchava. It was founded in 1488 with erection of a temple of Saint great martyr George. In 1547 external walls of the temple had been painted under supervision of metropolitan Grigory (Roshka) which has been buried subsequently in forechurch. Unique frescos were saved up to now. Because of the big fresco on the western wall of church of Sacred George this monastery is called by the experts «the Sikstinsky Chapel of the east».
