On September 15, a postage stamp dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Rosstandart was put into postal circulation

The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) is a federal executive body that performs functions of providing public services and managing state property in the field of technical regulation and metrology. It makes part of the system of federal executive bodies of the Russian Federation and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The Agency carries out licensing of activities for the manufacture and repair of measuring instruments as well as functions for state metrological control and supervision.

The history of Rosstandart dates back to September 15 of 1925, when the Resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR established an all-Union standardization body, the Committee for Standardization under the Council of Labor and Defense (Gosstandart). The introduction of state standardization management in the country laid the foundation for systematic work in all sectors of the national economy.

The postage stamp provides an image of the emblem of Rosstandart.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and St. Petersburg.
