The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) is a federal executive body that performs functions of providing public services and managing state property in the field of technical regulation and metrology. It makes part of the system of federal executive bodies of the Russian Federation and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The Agency carries out licensing of activities for the manufacture and repair of measuring instruments as well as functions for state metrological control and supervision.
