On April 18, a postage stamp dedicated to cultural and educational project Memory Train was put into postal circulation in the framework of the Joint Issue of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus



Memory Train is a cultural and educational project dedicated to patriotic education and association of the youth of Russia and Belarus. The Project envisages an educational program, memorial and culturally educational events dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, studying the culture and traditions of different peoples and regions.

The organizers of the Memory Train Project are the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the general partner of the project is JSC Russian Railway. The events of the Memory Train project involve two hundred senior pupils who were winners of national competitive selections.

The postage stamp provides an image of the Memory Train railroad train and the emblem of the Project.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Vologda, Kaluga, Petrozavodsk and Chelyabinsk, as well as a maxi-card.
