On June 30, two postage stamps dedicated to the 125th Anniversary of the Gorodets Lighthouse and the Sarych Lighthouse were put into postal circulation in the Lighthouses of Russia series

The Gorodets Lighthouse is located in the urban district of the Ostrovnoe closed administrative-territorial unit in the Murmansk Region. It is located at a distance of 75 km from the center of the unit on a high rocky shore of the Sazonov Bay of the White Sea. It was built in 1898 on the Maly Gorodetsky Cape on the top of Sazonov mountain. In 1912, a lifeguard station was established near the lighthouse. During the Great Patriotic War, ships and convoys of transports passed by the lighthouse. In the 1970s, a new lighthouse complex was built, which includes a lighthouse in the form of a stone tower, standing high above the red one-story tall house, a lighthouse technical building, dwelling houses and outbuildings. The tower is 18 m high from the base and 55 m from sea level. The lighthouse beacons in the sector from 312° to 171° with white flashing lights for up to 26 miles and reliably ensures the ship passage at the entrance to the White Sea Throat.

The Sarych Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on the eponymous cape in the Crimea. Place-name Sarych translates as gold-webbed. The tower of the lighthouse is 12 meters high and is made of cast iron. The total height of the building is 37.5 m. The lights of the lighthouse can be seen from 20 miles away. The tower of the lighthouse was manufactured for the famous Vorontsov Lighthouse in Odessa, and it was successfully installed on Cape Sarych in 1898. During the Great Patriotic War, the lighthouse was damaged, but later it was rebuilt according to initial plans. Nowadays, the Sarych Lighthouse is equipped with up-to-date instrumentation: a radio navigation system, radio equipment and an underwater acoustic beacon.

The postage stamps provide images of the Gorodets Lighthouse against the background of the map of the Kola Peninsula and the wind rose, and the Sarych Lighthouse against the background of the map of the Crimean Peninsula and the wind rose.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamps, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk and Sevastopol as well as maxi-cards and an illustrated envelope with the postage stamps, a label and First Day Covers with a cancel for Murmansk and Sevastopol inside.
