On June 8, a postage stamp dedicated to the presidency of the Russian Federation in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union was put into postal circulation



The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an international organization of regional economic integration possessing international legal personality established by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. The EAEU ensures freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor, as well as conduct of coordinated, harmonized or unified policy in economic sectors. The EAEU was established with the view of comprehensive modernization, cooperation and improvement of the competitiveness of national economies and setting the stage for stable development with the aim of advance in living standards of the population of its member states.

On January 1, 2023, Russia assumed the presidency of the Eurasian Economic Union. Under present-day conditions of global markets and the unfavorable global political environment, the member states of the Union have managed not only to stabilize the macroeconomic situation, but also to improve a number of key indicators.

The postage stamp features an emblem designed purposefully for the year of the presidency of the Russian Federation in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi of the Krasnodar Territory.
