Today, there are several companies in Russia engaged in the production of tramcars: the Ust-Katav Car-Building Plant (UKVZ), PC Transport Systems, and the Ural Plant of Transport Machine Building (Uraltransmash).
Tramcars of the Ust-Katav Car-Building Plant are in use practically in every Russian city with tram service. 71-628M is a single-section four-axle tramcar with a completely low floor level and multiple unit system traffic capability.
The tramcar system of the Taganrog public transport was opened in 1932. In 2022, the Taganrog tramcar will be 90 years old. By its anniversary, the city will receive an updated tramcar system and modern rolling stock.
