This issue is devoted to panda Katyusha, born in the Moscow Zoo in 2023 from pandas who had been brought to Moscow from Beijing in 2019. The 150g cub was born at the end of August of 2023. The Moscow Zoo called the birth of the little panda "a unique event both for the country and for the entire global environment-oriented community." Early in January of 2024, Russian residents chose a name for her by voting. The top three names were Katyusha, Momo and Masha, but the first name won by a large margin. According to Chinese tradition, names are given on the hundredth day after birth.
The postage stamp provides an image of panda Katyusha.
The stamp is also available for viewing in the AR mode in the mARka application.
