The series of postage stamps "Modern Art" reflects the work of modern authors who convey the atmosphere of the new Russia, its originality and dynamism, demonstrates the techniques and approaches peculiar to our era in creating paintings and sculptural compositions.
Andrey Igorevich Dubov is a painter, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 1982, he graduated from the graphic department of the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. All the works of A. I. Dubov are imbued with love for the Motherland and deep lyricism. The master's works are in museums in different cities of Russia and in private collections in Germany, Italy and Belgium.
Rashit Sultanovich Khabirov is a painter, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. In 1977, he graduated from the MGAKHI named after V. I. Surikov. In his work, he follows the realistic traditions of academic painting, is considered an unsurpassed master of subject portraits, still lifes, landscapes. Participant of republican, all-Russian, international and foreign exhibitions, as well as the Paris World Autumn Art salons.
Evgeny Nikolaevich Maksimov is a painter, muralist, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, vice-president of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 1973, he graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov. E. N. Maksimov is one of the leading masters of modern monumental painting, the heir of the Old Russian school of the revival of Orthodox cathedrals in Russia and other countries (USA, Cyprus). Temple paintings, small picturesque sketches and watercolors-for the artist it is an opportunity to admire the creations of God, to feel the unity of matter and spirit.
Evgeny Andreevich Antonov is a sculptor, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. In 1975, he graduated from the MGAKHI named after V. I. Surikov. Working in different genres, he sets complex plastic tasks and looks for capacious imaginative solutions, his works are distinguished by realism, the sharpness of the transfer of characters. The main subjects are great people, extraordinary historical figures, saints, heroic deeds. E. A. Antonov takes an active part in art exhibitions and organizes numerous plein-airs.
