The Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) is an organization established on December 17, 1991, in Moscow with the view of ensuring cooperation of new independent states in the field of electrical and postal communications, on a voluntary basis, principles of mutual respect and sovereignty.
The RCC Council accounts for 20 participants: RCC Communications Administrations of: Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Lithuania, Republic of Slovenia; as well as the EUTELSAT intergovernmental organization, the INTERSPUTNIK international organization of space communications and the INMARSAT international operator of satellite communications.
An overprint of the new denomination and inscription “30 years” were made on a 2016 postage stamp.
