№ 1093-1097. Planes of the Experimental Design Bureau named by A.S.Yakovlev. On the 100th birth anniversary of A.S.Yakovlev, the aircraft designer

AIR-1 – a light sports two-seater plane with Tsirrus engine of 60 liters per second. Its first flight took place on the 12th of May, 1927. A pilot J.I.Piontkovsky had flied from Sevastopol to Moscow without landing having held 2 international records on the 20th of July, 1927.

Jak-42 a short-length passenger plane was built according to the native and foreign requirements to the planes of such a class: the higher comfort for passengers, the low fuel consumption, low noise level, the higher flight safety. Jak-43 is used on airlines in many countries.

Jak-54 plane is a two-seater sports-flight plane, intended for sports-pilots training, for aerobatics teaching in aero-sports clubs and for competitions in sports-flights. Jak-54 is highly mobile which enables a pilot to carry out all set of aerobatics. The plane is reliable and easy in operation with minimum requirements for ground-based equipment.

The instructional-fight plane Jak-130 is a monoplane of a classical scheme with arrow-like wing situated in the middle of the plane, with a two-seater cabin, with pilot armchairs of “tandem” type. The plane carry out flights in all modes of operation appropriate to the modern and holding much promise fight planes.

Jak-141 – is a supersonic shipbornе aircraft of a vertical take off and landing, an outstanding achievement of the native aircraft construction. The plane has united all the experience accumulated in this field and outstripped its time by far.
