The Soviet military forces had carried out serious strategic offensive operations in January – October, 1944. During the winter campaign fascist troops were derouted near Leningrad, in the Crimea and in Right-Bank Ukraine, and during the summer campaign – in Karelia, Belorussia, Western Ukraine, the Balkans, Eastland, Hungary and Northern Finland. The stamp features the statue of the Unknown Soldier.
