On September 22, a postcard with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 100th Birth Anniversary of Evgeniy Leonov, an actor, a People's Artist of the USSR, was put into postal circulation

Evgeniy Leonov (1926–1994) was a Soviet and Russian theatre and film actor, and a master of film scoring. E. Leonov was an Honored Artist of the RSFSR, a People's Artist of the RSFSR, and a People's Artist of the USSR. He was a Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, a State Prize of the USSR, the Vasiliev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR, and the Lenin Komsomol Prize.

He was born on September 2, 1926, in Moscow. When in the fifth grade, he enrolled in the school drama group. In the autumn of 1943, he entered the S. Ordzhonikidze Aviation Instrument Engineering college and participated in amateur artistic activities. In his third year, he left the College and entered the drama department of the Moscow Experimental Theatre Studio at the Moscow Regional Philharmonic, which was headed by R. Zakharov, a ballet master of the Bolshoi Theatre. In 1947, he graduated from the studio and was taken into the Moscow Theatre of the Dzerzhinsky District.

From 1948, he performed on the stage of the Moscow Stanislavsky Drama Theatre. That same year, he began to play in films. He gained popularity after the Striped Voyage film (1961). From 1968, he was an actor at the Moscow Mayakovsky Theatre. On this stage, he played one of his best roles; that of Vanyushin the father in the play Vanyushin's Children by S. Naydenov. Since 1972 he was in the company of the Lenin Komsomol Theater (since 1990, the Lenkom Theater). E. Leonov is also known for his film scoring in animated films, for example, the role of Winnie-the-Pooh in the series of animated films from 1969-1972.

The commemorative stamp provides a portrait of Evgeniy Leonov; the main image features a scene from the film An Ordinary Miracle (Mosfilm Film Studio, director M. Zakharov, 1978).

In addition to the issue of the postcard with a commemorative stamp, JSC Marka produced a special cancel for Moscow.
