On the extended deadline for submitting entries to the Drawing Competition to design drafts of New Year stamps and Happy New Year! postcards until August 31



The organizers of the open All‑Russian Competition to design drafts of postage stamps and greeting cards themed Happy New Year! have decided to extend the submission period. Now artists will be able to submit their entries until 23:59 (MSK) of August 31, 2026.

The Competition is held by JSC Marka with the assistance of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Union of Artists and the Union of Philatelists of Russia. The organizers will appreciate participation in the Competition of citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 and older: professional designers and graduates of creative universities, as well as non-professional artists. Participation is free of charge.

To participate in the Competition, a submitter of the application needs to design an eye-catching sketch of a stamp or author’s greeting card in any of the techniques: painting, author’s graphics, collage, and others. The principal condition is that the work must be done manually, using the skills of an author. Works completely created by neural networks and other applications for generating images without skills of authorship will be rejected. The Competition results will be announced on September 15, 2026. Agreements will be concluded with the winners of the Competition and fees are to be paid. The best drafts will be selected for issuance of a new postage stamp and a series of five prestamped greeting cards. Besides, the authors will get an opportunity to become freelance authors for JSC Marka and make their contribution to the history of indicia of the Russian Federation.
