On August 11, a postage stamp dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of a subsidiary of PJSC S.V. Ilyushin Aviation Complex - Aviastar was put into postal circulation



The history of the company began on June 10, 1976, with the construction of the Ulyanovsk Aviation Industrial Complex. Today, it is a subsidiary of JSC Il – Aviastar - the aircraft manufacturing plant in Ulyanovsk that makes part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

It specializes in the production of Il-76MD-90A transport aircraft and Il-78M-90A refueling aircraft, as well as in the maintenance of An-124 Ruslan transport aircraft. It is engaged in the joint production of the new MS-21 medium-range passenger aircraft, the Il-112V light transport aircraft, and the Il-114-300 regional aircraft. The company provides warranty and post-warranty maintenance for aviation products.

The postage stamp features an Il-76MD-90A aircraft against the backdrop of the Aviastar aviation complex in Ulyanovsk.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and Ulyanovsk, as well as a maxi-card.
