On July 3, a ceremony took place of cancellation of an illustrated pre-stamped envelope dedicated to the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia

The event was attended by Police Lieutenant General Andrey Kurnosenko, a First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation; and Police Lieutenant General Mikhail Chernikov, the Head of the Main Directorate for Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the NKVD of the USSR was established on July 3, 1936. Currently, traffic safety issues are handled in Russia by the Main Directorate for Traffic Safety of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (State Traffic Safety Inspectorate). The organization's objectives are to ensure that citizens abide the regulatory legal acts in the field of traffic safety, as well as to preserve the life and health of people in the streets and highways of our country. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate considers active promotion of compliance with traffic rules, especially among children and youth, to be an important component of this work.

The illustrated pre-stamped envelope features officers of the Traffic Safety Inspectorate from different historical times against the background of a city and the logo of the celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the organization. The Print Run is 500 thousand envelopes.
