The event took place at the Victory Museum in Moscow. The ceremony was attended by Alexander Sidyakin, the Head of the Central Executive Committee of the United Russia All-Russian political party, a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and a coordinator of the federal Party Project Historical Memory; Yevgeny Poddubny, a Hero of the Russian Federation, a Deputy Director General of the VGTRK, and a military correspondent; and Rafael Huseynov, a Secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia.
The thematic series has been in production since 2024 in collaboration with the Historical Memory Party project. War correspondents of the Great Patriotic War were chroniclers of Victory. Their words and camera lenses held the truth about the War in trust for successive generations. They wrote under fire, took photos amid the smoke of battles, and risked their lives for a single shot or line of text. They are united by great courage, honor, a sense of duty, and boundless bravery in the name of their people and their Homeland.
The postage stamps provide portraits of Alexander Fadeev, Pyotr Lidov, Roman Karmen, Yevgeny Khaldei and Aleksandr Stanovov against the backdrop of their works and photographs.
The face value is 85 rubles each stamp; the Print Run is 18 thousand sheets. The design is by Artist Maxim Podobed. On May 8 of 2026, the postage stamps were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
