The event was attended by Tatyana Golikova, a Deputy Chairmen of the Organizing Committee for the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation, a Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; and Vladimir Mashkov, the Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation .
The history of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation as a professional artistic union began in 1876, when the Society for Mutual Assistance of Russian Artists was founded.
Today, the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation joins up about 30 thousand theater workers from all over Russia. The main goals of the organization are to ensure comprehensive assistance to the development of theatrical art, to help protect the social, legal, and professional interests of theater artists, and improve working and living conditions for Union members.
The envelope provides portraits of the deceased chairpersons of the Russian Theater Society. The postage stamp provides an image of the building of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation; the margins of the souvenir sheet feature a curtain and the logo of the organization. The Print Run is 16 thousand souvenir sheets. The design is by Artist Aleksandra Yegiazaryan.
On February 5, 2026, the souvenir sheets were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
