On February 11, Veronika Maksimenkova, the Director General of JSC Marka, held a meeting with representatives of Mongol Shuudan Postal Company, Ochirbat Batsaikhan, a Stamp Adviser, and Bayarsaikhan Bilguun, the Director of the Department of Postage Stamps and Security Papers.
During the meeting, the participants discussed further cooperation in the field of philately development, joint issues of state valuable postal matter between the Russian Federation and Mongolia, the use of new printing methods of printing state valuable postal matter as exemplified in a postage stamp issued in Mongolia in 2024, dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the first Mongolian national currency, tugrik. This unique stamp was produced with the use of advanced nanotechnologies and incorporates five different levels of security.
In 2021, on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, JSC Marka issued a postage stamp in the framework of a joint issue of the Russian Federation and Mongolia featuring musical instruments. To date, Russia has created the world's best system for issuing state valuable postal matter in terms of stamp design, printing processes, and the use of modern security technologies.
