On January 30, The Art of a Stamp exhibition opened in the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky in the Yaroslavl Region

The Art of a Stamp exhibition of paintings and postal miniatures is under way in the Na Rostovskoy Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Pereslavl Reserve Museum. This is a unique joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, and Joint-Stock Company Marka, which is a combined exposition of paintings, graphics and postage stamps.

The opening ceremony was attended by Oleg Pychin, the Director of the Pereslavl Reserve Museum; Veronika Maksimenkova, the Director General of Joint-Stock Company Marka; Dmitry Petropavlovsky, the Chairman of the Pereslavl District Branch of the Yaroslavl Regional Branch of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments; Evgeny Romashko, an Academician, a Member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation; as well as Olga Savina and Sergey Ulyanovsky, leading artists of JSC Marka, members of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.

The exhibition offers a possibility to see paintings by members of art associations, whose works were featured on postal miniatures, among them: People's Artists of the Russian Federation N. Borovskoi, V. Glukhov, E. Romashko, A. Lyubavin and G. Leman as well as Honored Artists of the Russian Federation N. Plastov, A. Dubov, N. Zheltushko, and a fine art restorer of the Grekov Studio of Military Artists I. Krivshinko. The exposition also presents artistic works by Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts N. Gorsky-Chernyshev, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation P. Groshev, and others. Besides, a part of the exhibition space is occupied by paintings by the leading artists of JSC Marka, members of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia and O. Savina and S. Ulyanovsky.

The philatelic section of the exposition is represented by postal miniatures of Russia dedicated to historical events, outstanding creative personalities, natural, cultural and literary heritage, flora and architectural monuments, regions and anniversaries of Russian cities, as well as the decorative and applied arts of our country.

Within the frames of the exhibition opening, an official ceremony was held of cancellation of an artistic postcard with the letter “B” dedicated to the 150th Birth Anniversary of artist Olga Della-Vos-Kardovskaya, who had lived and worked in Pereslavl-Zalessky for several years. The postcard provides a portrait of the artist and a fragment of her painting featuring Borisoglebsk, reposited in the Pereslavl Reserve Museum. On December 24 of 2025, the postcards were put into postal circulation in an edition of 700 copies.

The exhibition will run until March 8 of 2026.
