The event was attended by Colonel General Aleksandr Kurenkov, the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters; and Veronika Maksimenkova, the Director General of JSC Marka.
The Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters of the Russian Federation is a reliable protector of Russian citizens, their lives, health, and property. The EMERCOM of Russia performs functions related to the development and implementation of state policy, statutory regulation, as well as supervision and control in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, promotion of fire safety and water safety of people. The EMERCOM of Russia executes management, coordination, control, and responsivity in the areas of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergencies, promotion of fire safety and water safety of people.
In 2025, the agency will celebrate its 35th Anniversary. The illustrated pre-stamped envelope features a sculptural composition entitled For Firefighters and Rescuers by S. Shcherbakov, installed in Moscow in 2010 timed to the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the EMERCOM, as well as the emblem of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies. The Print Run of the illustrated pre-stamped envelope is 500,000 copies.
Aleksandr Kurenkov, the Head of the EMERCOM of Russia, expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the creation and execution of the commemorative envelope, to the staff of Joint Stock Company Marka, and personally to its director.
The envelopes have already gone on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain.
