The formation of the Communications Workers’ Union of Russia began with the organization of a conspiratorial group. Despite all the difficulties and repressions, on November 15 of 1905, the Ist All-Russian Congress of Postal and Telegraph Employees opened in Moscow at the Polytechnic Museum. Delegates from the central provinces of Siberia, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Central Asia, Finland, Crimea and the Caucasus attended their first professional congress. The Congress adopted the Charter of the Union and elected the governing bodies of the organization.

The Union has come a difficult way of formation and development and has gained ample experience in fighting for the rights of workers in the communications industry. Today, the Union unites 400,000 trade union members; 115 territorial, interregional trade union organizations and 1,339 primary trade union organizations. The Communications Workers’ Union of Russia unites trade union members of enterprises and organizations in the field of digital development, communications, information technology and mass communications. Integrating the efforts of all trade union organizations and trade union members, further developing social partnership, increasing the level of remuneration for employees, ensuring affordable and effective legal protection of labor rights and social guarantees, implementing programs together with employers to improve working conditions and safety, expanding non-governmental pension programs for communications personnel - these are the main tasks facing the Communications Workers’ Union today.

The illustrated pre-stamped envelope provides an image of the jubilee logo of the Communications Workers’ Union of Russia. The Print Run of the illustrated pre-stamped envelope is 500 thousand items.

The envelopes have already gone on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain.
