On August 15, a postage stamp dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the city of Pushkino of the Moscow Region was put into postal circulation

On August 17 of 1925, Pushkino of the Moscow Region received the status of a town. It included a dacha settlement near the station and a part of the Pushkino village. On June 12 of 1929, the town became a district center. The district included two working settlements—Ivanteevka and Krasnoarmeysk, the dacha village of Mamontovka, the Sofrinskaya, Putilovskaya, and Pushkinskaya volosts, as well as several villages of the Shchelkovskaya and Khotkovskaya volosts. In the same year, the first electric train ran from Moscow to Pushkino. Since 1930, Pushkino has been considered one of the best places for a country resort.

In 1953, the city was categorized as a city of regional subordination. Rapid construction activities began, the Moskovsky Prospect was occupied with buildings; the Serebryanka microdistrict was constructed followed by the Dzerzhinets microdistrict in the 1970s. At the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, there appeared the Armand microdistrict, where many wooden houses of the Pushkino village were replaced by nine-storied buildings. In 2002, the settlements of Vetlechebnytsa and VNIILM were incorporated into the city of Pushkino. In 2003, the dacha villages of Zavety Ilyicha, Klyazma, and Mamontovka, the settlements of Mosproekt, the Sanatorium-Forest School, and the Cardiological Sanatorium, as well as the villages of Zvyagino and Novaya Derevnya, were also joined in with Pushkino.

Since April 22 of 2019, Pushkino is the administrative center of the Pushkinsky Urban District, Moscow Region. Its population is 111,580 (2024).
