On August 14, four postage stamps dedicated to the architecture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region were put into postal circulation in the Architectural Heritage of Russia series

Some of the most famous architectural monuments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region are: the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin - the most majestic fortress of Central Russia, the Chkalov Stairs, the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, warehouses, the building of the State Bank, and various sculptures and monuments.

The Main Fair Building is a historical area where the largest fair of the Russian Empire was located. It hosts the central exhibition center of Nizhny Novgorod and a tower house in the pseudo-Russian style built after the project of architects K. Treiman, A. von Gogen and A. Trambitsky in 1890. It is an object of historical and cultural heritage of federal significance. In the 19th century, it housed the governor's apartment, a branch of the state bank, a post office, and an arcade with expensive shops. Today, the Main Fair House hosts official meetings and conferences, as well as archaicized receptions.

The V. Pryadilov’s House is an architectural monument in the historical center of the city. It was built in 1906-1908 according to the project of architect S. Levkov in the Art Nouveau style. The street facade employed abundantly forms of the Art Nouveau style that became fashionable at that time: oval lines of openings and elements of decorative and artistic decoration, including wrought iron roof railings between four attics of bizarre shapes. However, the house was only outwardly designed in the Art Nouveau style and, in order to save space, was built with a common facade with the neighboring buildings. The first floor was occupied by shops and a vaulted passageway to the courtyard in the center, above which was a sign reading House of V.S. Pryadilov.

The building of the branch of the State Bank was built in 1913 in the Neo-Russian style, when the Empire was celebrating a 300th Anniversary of the House of Romanovs. The architectural ensemble comprises the main building, a wrought-iron fence, and a residential building for employees. The author of the project was V. Pokrovsky, who received the right to build it following the result of a competition held by the Bank's Council in 1911.

The Packhouses Cultural Center is metal structures of the 19th century located on the territory of the former cargo port on the Strelka (Spit) in Nizhny Novgorod. They were built in 1882. Currently, a cultural center including a concert hall and an exhibition pavilion is arranged under the metal structures of the warehouses. It is an object of cultural heritage of Russia of regional significance.

The postage stamps provide images of the Main Fair Building (1890), the V. Pryadilov’s House (1910), the building of the branch of the State Bank (1913) and the Packhouses Cultural Center (2022).

In addition to the issue of the postage stamps, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod.
