On June 24, four postage stamps dedicated to military uniforms of the participants of the 1945 Victory Parade were put into postal circulation in the On the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 series

Uniforms and insignia of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army changed every few years, adapting themselves to the current demands and requirements of the time.

Supplements to the uniform were made in April of 1945: at that time, a double-breasted uniform with two rows of buttons was introduced for marshals and generals.

A new parade uniform of the sea-green color was produced for generals and marshals for the Victory Parade held on June 24, 1945. It was tailored in the austerity mode: exclusively for its participants and practically out of stock. It was a modified everyday uniform made of the best materials: dense cotton and fine wool.

The postage stamps provide images of participants in the Victory Parade held on Red Square on June 24, 1945: a front commander and a People's Commissar of the USSR Navy, a standard-bearer and the commander of a composite regiment of the 1st Ukrainian Front, the commander and soldiers of the composite battalion of trophy banners, the chief and pupils of Suvorov military schools.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamps, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Simferopol, Yevpatoria, Kerch and Feodosia of the Republic of Crimea.
