On June 19, a postage stamp dedicated to boxing was put into postal circulation in the Sports series

Types of sports are sports activities that took shape historically in the course of their development and were formed as independent components, for example, track and field athletics, football, basketball, swimming, etc. Currently, there are about 200 types of sports in the world.

Boxing is a combat sport and martial art, which involves two athletes throwing punches at each other with their fists wearing special gloves. The referee controls the fight, which lasts up to 12 rounds. Victory is awarded to the opponent who outpointed, or to the one who has knocked out his opponent. It is an Olympic sport.
The postage stamp provides an image of outstanding boxer Boris Lagutin.
