The event was held at the Union of Writers of Russia. The ceremony was attended by Dmitry Medvedev, the Chairman of the United Russia political party and a Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation; and Vladimir Medinsky, an Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society and the First Secretary of the Union of Writers of Russia.
The thematic series is being produced since 2024 in line with the Historical Memory Project of the Party. Frontline writers are a whole generation of true patriots of the country, who relied in their books on real events and oftentimes on their own frontline experience. A great contribution to the development of Soviet prose and poetry was made by writers who entered the great literature in the late 1950s – early 1960s. The postage stamps provide portraits of Konstantin Vanshenkin, Evgeny Vinokurov, Evgeny Nosov and Pyotr Todorovsky against the background of illustrations for their military writings.
The face value of the postage stamps is 80 rubles; the Print Run is 18 thousand sheets. The design is by Artist Maxim Podobed. On May 8, 2025, the postage stamps were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
