The participants in the event held in the Russian State Library were active members of the trade union, JSCo Russian Railways executives, industry veterans, Moscow Railway employees, and students of railroad educational institutions. The cancellation ceremony was attended by Dmitry Shakhanov, the Chairman of the Russian Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Builders; Sergey Saratov, a Deputy Director General of JSCo Russian Railways; and Anastasia Kirichenko, the Chairperson of the primary trade union organization of students of the Rostov State University of Railway Transport.
The Russian Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Builders (ROSPROFZHEL) is a public organization with 1,236,767 trade union members. ROSPROFZHEL unites 19 railroad territorial trade union organizations, 7 territorial trade union organizations, 61 structural subdivisions of Dorprofzhel, 153 united primary trade union organizations, and 3,197 primary trade union organizations. The primary trade union organizations consist of 1,672 shop-floor trade union organizations and 28,108 trade union groups. ROSPROFZHEL organizations and their structural subdivisions work in 78 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The structure of the ROSPROFZHEL includes trade union organizations operating in the open joint-stock company Russian Railways, its subsidiaries and affiliates, as well as in educational, scientific, health care, transport construction, departmental security, metro and other organizations.
