On April 18, an official ceremony took place of cancellation of a postage stamp dedicated to cultural and educational project Memory Train

The event was held in the Tavricheskiy Palace in St. Petersburg. The impressions were marked by the Project initiators: Valentina Matvienko, the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

The postage stamp provides an image of the Memory Train railroad train and the emblem of the Project. The face value of the postage stamp is 85 rubles; the Print Run is 102 thousand stamps. The design is by Artist Alexander Moskovets.

Today, the postage stamps were put into postal circulation in the framework of the Joint Issue of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus and went on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain.

Traditionally, issues of the state valuable postal matter are timed to landmark historical and cultural events, state-run and public organizations, or are dedicated to celebrated personalities and major backbone enterprises of the Russian economy.
