On December 6, an official ceremony took place of cancellation of a postage stamp dedicated to the Volunteer Movement of the Russian Federation

The event was held within the framework of the International Forum for Civic Participation #WEARETOGETHER 2024. The ceremony was attended by Artem Metelev, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, the Chairman of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centers, the Head of the dobro.ru platform; and Grigory Gurov, the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

The Volunteer Movement involves people who are willfully engaged in charitable activities without getting money or financial benefit. They are ready to sacrifice their time, effort and skills to help those in need, to support social and environmental initiatives, and contribute to public welfare. The movement of volunteer organizations in Russia began to develop rapidly in the early 1990s.

The postage stamp features a symbolic heart with images characterizing areas of volunteer activities inside it. The face value of the postage stamp is 31 rubles; the Print Run is 78 thousand stamps.

On December 5, 2024, the postage stamps were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain.
