On November 22, an official ceremony took place of special cancellation of a pre-stamped postcard B dedicated to the 90th Birth Anniversary of Alfred Schnittke, a composer, an Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR

The event was attended by Olga Kazakova, the Chairman of the Committee on Culture of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; Professor Anna Shcherbakova, the Rector of the Alfred Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music, a Doctor of Education, a Doctor of Cultural Studies; Ramin Gasymov, a member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; and Veronika Maksimenkova, the First Deputy Director General of Joint-Stock company Marka.

Alfred Schnittke was a Soviet and Russian composer, a music educator and a musicologist. He was an Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR, a Winner of the Krupskaya State Prize of the RSFSR and the State Prize of the Russian Federation. Schnittke was the author of 4 operas, 3 ballets, 10 symphonies, 15 instrumental concertos, numerous compositions of chamber, vocal, choral and instrumental music, as well as music for films, animated cartoons and theater productions.

The postcard features a portrait of composer Alfred Schnittke with scores in his hands. The Print Run is 2,000 postcards.

On November 8, 2024, the pre-stamped postcards B were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain.
