On November 8, Artem Adibekov, the Director General of JSC Marka, presented the Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia with a cancelled postage stamp issued for the 100th Anniversary of the museum. On this day, the final meeting of the Organizing Committee headed by the Chairman of the Russian Historical Society Sergey Naryshkin took place.
The members of the Organizing Committee summed up the results of exhibition projects and events held during the museum Anniversary year.
JSC Marka issued a postage stamp in the quantity of 90 thousand items, which was put into postal circulation in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain throughout the country; besides, it was included into international and Russian philatelic catalogs.
As was stated by Artem Adibekov, “Stamp issues are of great importance for the preservation and protection of historical truth and historical memory, and are a visual material for studying the past and the present”.
