On October 28, an official ceremony took place of cancellation of a postage stamp dedicated to the 125th Birth Anniversary of Nikolai Dollezhal, an academician, an outstanding designer and scientist

The event was attended by Andrey Kaplienko, the Director General, the Designer General of the N.A. Dollezhal Order of Lenin Research and Design Institute of Power Engineering (JSC NIKIET, an enterprise of the Rosatom State Corporation), and Natalia Dollezhal, the academician's daughter.

Nikolai Dollezhal (1899-2000) was an outstanding designer and scientist, the founder and the first Director of NIKIET, one of the pioneers of Russian nuclear power engineering and industry, the designer of nuclear facilities that have become the pride of nuclear science and technology. He was an Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, a twice Hero of Socialist Labor, as well as a Winner of three Stalin Awards, of a Lenin Prize (1957) and two State Prizes of the USSR.

The postage stamp provides a portrait of Nikolai Dollezhal and an ideograph of atom against the background of the N.A. Dollezhal Research and Design Institute of Power Engineering. The Design Artist is Khania Betredinova. The face value of the postage stamp is 72 rubles. The Print Run is 75 thousand stamps.

On October 25, 2024, the postage stamps were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
