St. Petersburg hosts International philatelic exhibition Russia 2024 dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945

On October 9, the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications held the grand opening of the exhibition and the ceremony of cancellation of the pre-stamped postcard issued specially for this exhibition. The event was attended by Alexey Borodin, the President of the Union of Philatelists of Russia; Sergey Ivanyuk, the Director of the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications; and Igor Zhelvakov, a Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee on Informatization and Communications.

The exhibition displays 45 philatelic collections of participants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, New Zealand, Russia, and Serbia, as well as 25 exhibits in the literary class.

On October 9-10, the museum hosts the 15th scientific and practical seminar on the history of mail and philately Jubilee and memorable dates of 2024 through the prism of philately and deltiology and St. Petersburg autumn vernissage “Week of Museum Collections - 2024”. These arrangements associated collectors and professionals in the field of philately and deltiology from different regions of Russia.

Everyone interested is invited to visit the exhibition until October 15, 2024, at the address: 4 Pochtamtsky per., St. Petersburg. Opening hours: from 10:00 to 18:00 daily, Monday is day off.
