On September 13, a souvenir sheet dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Kirillo-Belozersky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve was put into postal circulation

The museum was established in 1924 in the walls of the closed Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery as a branch of the Cherepovets District Provincial Museum. In 1926, it became an independent institution. By the decision of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, in 1968, the museum received a new status and name: the Kirillo-Belozersky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve. In 1997, by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve was included in the State Code of Especially Valuable Objects of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of the Russian Federation. In 2000, the Museum's branch, the Museum of Dionisius Frescoes, was entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The museum currently occupies the greater part of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery, with the exception of the Small Ivanovsky Monastery, which was handed over to the Russian Orthodox Church. The Museum collection holds more than 86.5 thousand museum items, of which nearly 70 thousand belong to the core exhibits of the Museum. Every year, the museum opens more than 60 expositions and exhibitions, holds scientific conferences, and is actively involved in monuments restoration works.

The souvenir sheet features one of the Museum objects - the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery.

In addition to the issue of the souvenir sheet, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and Kirillov of the Vologda Region.
