Within the framework of the general meeting of the heads of the cities of the Golden Ring, Artem Adibekov, the Director General of Joint-Stock Company Marka, and Natalia Bulakh, the Executive Director of the Union for Development and Interaction of the Cities of the Golden Ring, signed a Cooperation Agreement.
The purpose of the Agreement is to promote the historical and cultural component of the Golden Ring of Russia tourist route in line with the philatelic program of JSC Marka for 2024-2026. The Agreement is aimed at the development of tourism and philately, promotion of Russian cities, provision of the development of information interaction and preservation of Russia's historical and cultural heritage. The program provides for the issuance of special valuable postal matter, including postage stamps, artistic pre-stamped envelopes, and postcards dedicated to the Golden Ring cities, as well as educational and exhibition projects and other activities.
The cities and sightseeing attractions of the Golden Ring of Russia tourist route have repeatedly been featured on the philatelic products of JSC Marka. In 2023, a postage stamp in the Cities of Labor Valor series was issued with the image of memorial To Heroes of the Front and Home Front in Ivanovo, as well as artistic pre-stamped envelopes dedicated to the 175th Anniversary of the Vladimir Academic Regional Drama Theatre, to Kostroma with the image of the City of Labor Valor stele, to the 50th All-Russian Fatyanov Poetry and Song Festival in the Vladimir Region and other products were issued. This year four postage stamps dedicated to the 1000th Anniversary of Suzdal in the Vladimir Region were issued; on August 9, a postage stamp in the Cities of Labor Valor series will be issued featuring the monument to home front workers of the Kostroma Region during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in Kostroma.
