On May 7, a stamp dedicated to the inauguration of the President of the Russian Federation was put into postal circulation


On March 15-17 of 2024, the election of the President of the Russian Federation took place. Vladimir Putin triumphed in election with 87.28% of the votes.

The President of the Russian Federation is the Head of the State, a guarantor of the Constitution, human and civil rights and freedoms. The President is elected for a term of six years via universal, equal and direct suffrage of citizens by secret ballot.

Inauguration of the President of the Russian Federation is an official ceremony of entrance upon duty of the head of state. The venue for the ceremony is the Grand Kremlin Palace.

On the solemn inauguration ceremony, the President takes the oath to the people in the presence of members of the Federation Council, deputies of the State Duma and judges of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. The Presidential Decree also determines the symbols required for the ceremony. These are the Emblem of the President of the Russian Federation, his Standard, and a Copy of the Constitution, on which he takes the oath. After taking the oath, the head of state delivers an obligatory address to the citizens of the country. In the finale, the President goes out to the Cathedral Square and inspects the parade of the Presidential Regiment.
