A drawing competition to design a postage stamp and a postcard for the 100th Anniversary of the Artek International Children's Centre is launched

The Artek International Children's Centre, JSC Marka, JSC Russian Post and FSUE Post of Crimea announce a thematic drawing competition for a postage stamp and a postcard themed 100th Anniversary of the Artek International Children's Centre.

The major objectives of the competition are to develop a sense of belonging to the jubilee event in the younger generation, to involve the maximum number of children in creative activities, and to raise the prestige of the Artek International Children's Centre, JSC Marka, JSC Russian Post and FSUE Post of Crimea in youth community.

The sketch of the stamp should mirror events from the history of the Artek International Children's Centre (information is available on the official website https://artek.org/). The works can be made as a drawing or in a graphic editor.

! Works created by neural networks and other applications for producing artificial images with the use of software algorithms without skills of authorship will be rejected.

Citizens of the Russian Federation aged 8 years and older are invited to participate in the competition. The competition is to be held in two categories: “Postage stamp 100th Anniversary of the Artek International Children's Centre”; and “Postcard Happy Birthday, Artek!”. One participant is allowed to submit maximum one work in each nomination. Materials should be supplied to e-mail address: 100letie_marka@artek.org.

Applications for participation in the competition of drawing sketches of a postage stamp and a postcard will be accepted from March 17 until 23:59 (Moscow time) of July 1, 2024.

The competition results will be announced on July 30, 2024. Agreements will be concluded with the winners of the competition and fees are to be paid. The best works will be selected for issuance of a postage stamp and a postcard. The winners will also receive competition diplomas and souvenir sets from the Artek International Children’s Centre and JSC Russian Post, and all participants will receive competition certificates. The participants in the age group of 8-15 y.o. (inclusive) who score the maximum number of points at the end of the contest will be additionally honored as follows: 5 best participants in category “Postage stamp 100th Anniversary of the Artek International Children's Centre” and 5 best participants in category “Postcard Happy Birthday, Artek!” will get certificates entitling them to additional points, which can be used by the participant within the framework of the competitive selection of winners of the Post - from Children's Dreams to Adults’ Achievements Program to be implemented at the Artek International Children's Centre in 2025. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reward winners and participants with special prizes proceeding from the competition results, which will be announced additionally.
