On February 28, a meeting of the Management Committee of the World Association for the Development of Philately was held under the chairmanship of President of WADP Artem Adibekov, the Director General of JSC Marka.
The results were presented of the WADP activities in 2023, including a report of the Working Group headed by Tunisia on the results of a study on the creation of a quality seal during the production of philatelic stamps.
In the course of the meeting, the Committee stated the priorities and outlined the activities for the year ahead, provided updated information on WNS (World Stamp Numbering System) activities and emphasized the progress made by working groups according to the work plan. The members also approved the institution of a working group to study standards and regulations for digital philatelic products, including crypto stamps and NFT stamps.
In 2023, philatelic exhibitions, seminars and forums were held under the auspices of the WADP. Morocco Post and the Pan African Postal Union organized a philatelic conference in Rabat, Morocco, on November 21-23 of 2023 themed Philately - Sustainability of the Sector in the Digital Age. As part of the THAILAND 2023 World Philatelic Exhibition in Bangkok, a philatelic forum and workshop on Crypto Stamps and NFTs: What Future Models for Posts and Philately? was held on November 28-29, 2023.
