On December 21, a ceremony took place of special cancellation of postage stamps dedicated to holy pictures of the Moscow Kremlin

The event was attended by Vladimir Yakunin, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of Apostle Andrew the First-Called; Peter Kononenko, the Director General of JSC Borisfen, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of Apostle Andrew the First-Called; Artem Adibekov, the Director General of Joint Stock Company Marka, Anastas Mikoyan, the Chairman of the International Federation of Musicians, the Artistic Director of the Stas Namin Theatre; and Elizaveta Kolesnikova, an Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint Stock Company Transmashholding.

The postage stamps provide images of Icons of the Savior of Smolensk (Spasskaya Tower), of Christ Not Made by Hand and the Blessed Virgin Mary (Spasskaya Tower) and of St. Nikolas of Mozhaisk (Nikolskaya Tower). The face value of the postage stamps is 70 rubles; the Print Run is 36 thousand each stamp. The design is by Artist Khania Betredinova.

The project of the return of gateway holy pictures to the passage towers of the Moscow Kremlin was initiated and implemented by the Foundation of Apostle Andrew the First-Called. In 2010, the ancient holy pictures of Christ the Savior on the Spasskaya Tower and of Saint Nicholas on the Nikolskaya Tower were restored and unveiled. In 2023, after meticulous research work, seven more irretrievably lost images were recreated with the scientific restoration method. The successful implementation of the project symbolizes the continuation of the centuries-old historical succession.

The postage stamps were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain.

Traditionally, issues of the state valuable postal matter are timed to landmark historical and cultural events, or are dedicated to celebrated personalities, major backbone enterprises of the Russian economy, state-run and public organizations.
