On December 13, an official ceremony took place of special cancellation of a postage stamp in the Regions of Russia. The Kherson Region series

The event took place within the framework of the International Russia EXPO at VDNKh. The cancellation ceremony was attended by Vladimir Saldo, the Governor of the Kherson Region; and Semyon Mashkautsan, a Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kherson Region.

The postage stamp features the Askania Nova Nature Reserve, the monument to Prince Grigory Potemkin, as well as watermelons grown in the fields of the Kherson region.

The face value of the postage stamp is 27 rubles; the Print Run is 252 thousand stamps. The design is by Artists Vladimir Beltyukov and Ivan Ulyanovsky.

On November 28, 2023, the stamp was put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices all over the country and the Collectioner show room chain.

Traditionally, issues of the state valuable postal matter are timed to landmark dates and events in the history of our country. The Regions of Russia series has been in production since 1997; the series includes postal miniatures devoted to different regions of the Russian Federation.
