On December 12, a ceremony took place of special cancellation of a postage stamp dedicated to the 100th Birth Anniversary of Aleksandr Sukharev, a legal scholar, a statesman

The event was attended by Colonel of Justice Alexei Bessonov, the Rector of the Sukharev Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, a Doctor of Law, an Associate Professor; Olga Aleksandrova, the Rector of the All-Russian State University of Justice, a Candidate of Law, an Associate Professor; and Colonel of Justice Alexander Kukushkin, the Chairman of the Union of Investigation Veterans National Association of Veterans of Investigating Agencies.

The postage stamp provides a portrait of Aleksandr Sukharev and a pillar of law.

The face value of the postage stamp is 63 rubles; the Print Run is 72 thousand stamps. The design is by Design Artists Sergey Ulyanovsky and Roman Komsa.

On December 12, 2023, the postage stamps were put into postal circulation in the Outstanding Lawyers of Russia series and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.

Traditionally, issues of the state valuable postal matter are timed to remarkable dates and events in the history of our country, or are dedicated to celebrated personalities. The Outstanding Lawyers of Russia series has been in production since 2012; the series includes postal miniatures in honor of outstanding legal figures and legal scholars who have made a significant contribution to the development of fundamental laws of our country.
