The exhibition is taking place in The Kazan Kremlin National Historic-and-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve. It is a unique joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Branch of the Union of Russia, the Moscow Union of Artists and Joint Stock Company Marka; it is a combined exhibition of painting, graphic works and postage stamps.
The Exhibition is timed to the 30th Anniversary of the foundation of The Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve. The philatelic exposition presents Russian postal miniatures dedicated to the cultural heritage and architectural monuments, artists and cultural figures, as well as decorative and applied arts of our country. A separate section belongs to paintings and state valuable postal matter featuring the sights of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan. In the framework of the Exhibition, one can see paintings by members of art associations whose works were pictured on postal miniatures: People’s Artists of the Russian Federation N. Borovskoi, V. Glukhov, E. Romashko, A. Teslik, A. Lyubavin and G. Leman, as well as Honored Artists of the Russian Federation N. Plastov, A. Dubov, A. Fedulov and N. Zheltushko.
The exposition also offers artistic works by an Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts N. Gorsky-Chernyshev, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation P. Groshev, a fine art restorer of the Grekov Studio of Military Artists I. Krivshinko, a member of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Russia, a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts A. Adibekov, and the leading artists of JSC Marka, members of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia S. Ulyanovsky and O. Savina.
In 2024, Joint Stock Company Marka is preparing for issuance stamped postcards dedicated to The Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve.
The Marka Publishers has been producing state valuable postal matter of the Russian Federation for over 165 years. The collection of postal stamps, postcards, envelopes and souvenir gifts is annually replenished with new issues dedicated to historical events in Russia, monuments of world cultural and natural heritage, architectural attractions of cities, museums, and outstanding personalities of the country. Since 2011, in cooperation with the Union of Artists of Russia, JSC Marka has been issuing the Contemporary Art of Russia series of postage stamps with images of paintings and sculptural compositions by our contemporaries, the leading masters of the country.
The exhibition will be held until March 3, 2024.
