On November 27, Artem Adibekov, the Chairman of the World Association for the Development of Philately, the Director General of JSC Marka, together with Masahiko Metoki, the Director General of the Universal Postal Union, and Prakob Chirakiti, the President of the International Philatelic Federation, opened the Thailand 2023 International Philatelic Exhibition.
At the exhibition, the Russian Federation presented an exhibit dedicated to the 165th Anniversary of the first Russian postage stamp and the history of our country on postal miniatures.
On November 28, an international philatelic forum chaired by Artem Adibekov was held under the auspices of the World Association for the Development of Philately. The event was dedicated to crypto stamps and NFTs and the practice of designated operators in the use of digital products in posts and philately. Today, the development of philatelic business in the digital realities is on the agenda all over the world. All issuing organizations are taking advantage of modern technical opportunities as new growth points. Russia demonstrated its own project of integrating the augmented reality technology with postage stamps, which expands the scientific potential of a postage stamp and attracts new customers.
As was stated by Artem Adibekov, “It is pleasant to note that despite the widespread use of the Internet, postage stamps do retain and will retain their relevance and the state of being in demand. I am convinced that the competent use of new digital technologies will favor the broadening of traditional philatelic channels.”
